This CharityScorecard.org site was in use from 2006 to 2008, but is now mostly dormant, and the material here is out of date. The GiveWell project has similar goals and is being actively maintained. I've left the old CharityScorecard.org content here just for the historical record.

2008 Organizations

These are the non-profit organizations that I created pages for on the Charity Scorecard site in 2008:

These are organizations I was curious about, and which I did some reading about, but which I have not created pages for:

Non-exempt non-profit organizations

These are organizations that are not incorporated in the United States or that have not been granted tax exempt status by the IRS under the US Internal Revenue Code section 501(c)(3). For the Charity Scorecard site, we're only looking at organizations that have websites. We have only have a couple of these organizations on our list:

Brian's Affinity Organizations

These are non-profit organizations that may not a good match for the stated goals of the Skinner Fund, but which I'm drawn to nonetheless. I'm listing them here because I'm thinking about making a one-time round of modest grant recommendations to some of them.

Add new organizations
You can help by adding new non-profits to the list of Organizations that we might want to create pages about. Or, to help even more, you can create a new page about an organization, and fill out Questionnaires about the organization. More info here.

Organizations to look at next

These are non-profit organizations that people have suggested we create pages for.

As a first pass, we should scan through this list and try to find the organizations with websites that have sufficient info for filling out our Geography Questionnaire and Health Outcomes Questionnaire. We should create pages for those organizations first, and leave the others until later.
